Regulation Authority:

RIGL 40-6-8

Purpose and Reason:

Clarified policy relating to interim reporting requirements and verification of deductions. If a household fails to provide sufficient information or verification of a deductible expense, an RDOC is issued requesting missing documentation. If client does not respond within the 10 day timeframe with required documentation to support the change, the case continues to be processed. Existing verified deductions in the case record, for the certification period under review, are used in the calculation of benefits for reported increases that are not verified. Reports of a decrease in a deductible expense are changed without required verification. Clarified policy relating to the Notice of Expiration as process has changed due to the automation of the form.
